Sport, Kino und Subkultur treffen aufeinander:

Am 22. Februar 2026, feiert der neue Film Marty Supreme seine große Vorpremiere im Filmtheater Schauburg. Organisiert wird das Event gemeinsam vom Filmtheater Schauburg, shakehands Dresden und der Hanse 3.
Im Mittelpunkt steht der von Timothée Chalamet gespielte Marty – ein junger Schuhverkäufer aus Manhattan, der davon träumt, Tischtennis-Weltmeister zu werden. Regisseur Josh Safdie inszeniert die energiegeladene Geschichte, angelehnt an das Leben der Tischtennis-Legende Marty Reisman. Der Film ist für 9 Oscars® nominiert und gilt bereits jetzt als einer der sportlichsten Kinohöhepunkte des Jahres.
Doch bevor um 18:30 Uhr der Film startet, verwandelt sich die Schauburg in eine Tischtennis-Arena:

Ab 15:00 Uhr: Rundlauf und Gewinnspiele auf dem Vorplatz
Midi-Platten im Foyer – offenes Spiel für alle 
18:00 Uhr: Live-Showmatch im Sergio-Leone-Saal mit den shakehands 

Das Event bringt Dresdner Tischtenniskultur auf die große Leinwand – und davor direkt an die Platte. Ziel ist es, Sport, Community und Kinoerlebnis miteinander zu verbinden.

Der Film (USA 2025, 150 Min., FSK 12) startet um 18:30 Uhr. Tickets sind über die Schauburg erhältlich.

Sport, cinema and subculture come together:

On February 22, 2026, the new film Marty Supreme celebrates its special advance screening at Filmtheater Schauburg.
The event is jointly organized by Filmtheater Schauburg, shakehands Dresden and Hanse 3.
At the center of the story is Marty, played by Timothée Chalamet — a young shoe salesman from Manhattan who dreams of becoming a table tennis world champion. Director Josh Safdie brings this high-energy story to the screen, inspired by the life of table tennis legend Marty Reisman. The film has been nominated for 9 Oscars® and is already considered one of the most dynamic sports films of the year.
But before the movie starts at 6:30 PM, the Schauburg will turn into a table tennis arena:

From 3:00 PM – Round robin play and prize games in front of the cinema
Midi tables in the foyer – open play for everyone
6:00 PM – Live show match with the shakehands crew in the Sergio-Leone-Saal 

This event brings Dresden’s table tennis culture to the big screen — and directly to the tables beforehand. The goal is to connect sport, community and cinema into one shared experience.

The film (USA 2025, 150 min., rated 12+) starts at 6:30 PM. Tickets are available via the Schauburg cinema.
